PedalTalk 은 함께 자전거를 타는 사람들이 음성으로 대화하게 해 주는 앱입니다. 이 문서는 앱이 어떤 정보를 받고, 어디에 쓰고, 얼마나 보관하는지 설명합니다.

1. 음성

목소리는 같은 방에 있는 사람들의 폰으로 바로 전달되고 서버에 저장하지 않습니다. 인터넷 경로는 WebRTC 암호화(DTLS)로, 블루투스 경로는 Google Nearby Connections 연결로 전달됩니다. 연결을 돕는 중계(TURN) 서버를 거치는 경우에도 암호화된 패킷을 전달만 하고 내용을 기록하지 않습니다.

2. 서버에 잠깐 남는 정보

• 익명 계정 식별자(Firebase 익명 인증 uid). 이름, 이메일, 전화번호는 받지 않습니다.
• 방 정보: 6자리 방 코드, 참가자가 입력한 표시 이름, 기기 식별용 임의 번호, 근거리 연결 확인용 임의 값
• 연결 설정 정보: 두 기기가 서로를 찾기 위한 네트워크 후보 주소(IP 주소 포함)와 세션 설명

방 정보는 만든 지 24시간 뒤, 연결 설정 정보는 1시간 뒤 만료되고, 만료된 정보는 자동으로 삭제됩니다(삭제는 보통 만료 후 하루 안에 이뤄집니다). 연결 설정 정보는 상대 기기가 읽는 즉시 먼저 지웁니다. 이 정보는 Google Firebase(Cloud Firestore, 서울 리전)에 저장됩니다.

3. 기기에만 남는 정보

표시 이름, 앱 설정, 최근 함께 탄 파트너의 이름과 날짜는 이 폰에만 저장되고 백업·기기 이전 대상에서 제외됩니다. 앱을 지우면 함께 지워집니다.

4. 오류 기록

앱이 비정상 종료되거나 연결 오류가 나면 원인 파악을 위해 기기 모델, OS 버전, 오류 내용, 연결 상태 기록을 Firebase Crashlytics 로 보냅니다. 음성과 대화 내용은 포함되지 않습니다. 진단 화면의 "로그 내보내기"는 사용자가 직접 공유할 때만 기기 밖으로 나갑니다.

5. 권한

• 마이크: 대화 중 목소리를 함께 탄 사람들에게 보내기 위해 씁니다.
• 근처 기기(블루투스, Wi-Fi): 인터넷이 끊겼을 때 가까이 있는 사람들과 직접 연결하기 위해 씁니다. Android 12 이하에서는 같은 이유로 위치 권한을 요청하지만 위치를 기록하지 않습니다.
• 알림: 화면이 꺼져도 대화 상태와 음소거·종료 버튼을 보여 주기 위해 씁니다.
• QR 스캔은 Google Play 서비스의 코드 스캐너가 처리하며 앱은 카메라 권한을 갖지 않습니다.

6. 제3자 제공

광고 목적으로 정보를 판매하거나 제공하지 않습니다. 서비스는 Google Firebase(인증, 데이터베이스, 원격 설정, 오류 기록)와 Google Play 서비스(근거리 연결, 코드 스캐너) 위에서 동작합니다.

7. 삭제 요청과 문의

서버에 남는 정보는 위 기간이 지나면 자동으로 지워집니다. 더 빨리 지우기를 원하거나 궁금한 점이 있으면 hello@mrlatte.net 으로 방 코드와 함께 알려 주세요. 접수 후 30일 안에 처리합니다.

PedalTalk lets people who ride bicycles together talk by voice. This page explains what the app receives, what it is used for, and how long it is kept.

1. Voice

Your voice goes directly to the phones of the other riders in your room and is never stored on a server. The internet path is encrypted with WebRTC (DTLS) and the Bluetooth path uses a Google Nearby Connections link. If a relay (TURN) server helps the connection, it only forwards encrypted packets and does not record their content.

2. Data briefly kept on the server

• An anonymous account identifier (Firebase Anonymous Authentication uid). We do not collect names, email addresses or phone numbers.
• Room data: the 6-digit room code, the display name each rider enters, a random device number, and a random value used to verify the nearby link
• Connection setup data: network candidate addresses (including IP addresses) and session descriptions that let the two phones find each other

Room data expires 24 hours after the room is created and connection setup data expires after 1 hour. Expired data is deleted automatically, usually within a day of expiry. Connection setup data is also deleted as soon as the other phone reads it. This data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Seoul region).

3. Data kept only on your phone

Your display name, app settings, and the names and dates of recent partners stay on this phone and are excluded from backup and device transfer. They are removed when you uninstall the app.

4. Error reports

When the app crashes or a connection error occurs, the device model, OS version, error details and connection state log are sent to Firebase Crashlytics to find the cause. Voice and conversation content are never included. The "Export logs" button on the diagnostics screen shares logs only when you choose to.

5. Permissions

• Microphone: to send your voice to the other riders during a talk.
• Nearby devices (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi): to connect directly to nearby riders when the internet drops. On Android 12 and earlier the same feature requires the location permission, but no location is recorded.
• Notifications: to show the talk status and mute and end buttons while the screen is off.
• QR scanning is handled by the Google Play services code scanner, and the app does not hold the camera permission.

6. Third parties

We do not sell or share data for advertising. The service runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, remote config, crash reporting) and Google Play services (nearby connections, code scanner).

7. Deletion requests and contact

Server-side data is deleted automatically after the periods above. To have it removed sooner, or for any question, email hello@mrlatte.net with your room code. Requests are handled within 30 days.
